The Best Camera

Before shooting with the Canon XH A1, I only had access to a Creative Vado HD pocket camera. Now, needless to say, there is quite a difference between the two cameras. However, when asked if I would sell this pocket camera since I now have a camera that completely eclipses the performance of the Vado HD, I was sure this little one wasn't replaceable.

And here is the number one reason why the Canon XH A1 cannot completely replace the Vado HD: portability. Here's a "secret" that many photographers will share, and I agree this extends to videos: the best camera is the one you have with you. In other words, take your camera with you wherever you go. I was amazed at how small and light this pocket cam was; most people mistook it for a cellphone.

Don't get me wrong - if I know I'll be shooting something, I'll be rolling with the XH A1. However, stop me on the street and you'll probably find the Vado HD in my pocket or bag.
